Sirsi's trades, and what each one needs
Sirsi is where the areca, pepper and cardamom of the Malnad are graded and sold, much of it through co-operatives. That trade runs on lots, grades, party accounts and settlements, while packaged software is built for a shop. Temple visitors and spice brands matter too, but for most businesses here the software matters more than the website.

How it works
Trading software fails when it is designed from a desk, so we begin with your real day.
Before any screen, we go through one real day with you: a lot arriving, grading, the sale, the party ledger and the settlement. Usually this is a video call with your accountant on it, plus a visit to Sirsi when the flow needs to be seen.
The plan uses your existing slips and statements as the model, so the printout looks like the one your parties already trust.
Purchase and lots come first, then grading and stock, then ledgers and settlement. Each piece runs beside your paper or spreadsheet until the totals agree.
We go live outside the busiest weeks after harvest, with opening balances checked party by party.
GST rules, new grades and new reports keep arriving. Changes go through one WhatsApp number to the people who built the system.
Questions
Because it assumes a shop: fixed items that sell as they came in. Areca and spices arrive in lots, change weight and grade after drying and sorting, and are settled with parties weeks later. Ready-made tools push those steps back onto paper, which is why we build around them instead.
No. Tally keeps the books; the trading software runs the day. We build it so your accountant gets clean totals by party and by period, instead of rebuilding them from slips at the end of the month.
Yes, inside the billing itself. When a B2B invoice is saved it is registered, and the IRN and signed QR code print on the document. If the portal is down, the invoice waits in a queue rather than printing something that only looks valid. We built e-invoicing through ClearTax for Facet, our own ERP product.
Partly. Udupi is where our one studio is, so most Sirsi work happens on screen shares, video calls and WhatsApp, and we speak both Kannada and English. For trading software we would still rather see the floor once, so we plan a visit to watch lots come in and a settlement go out.
Yes. Your own store keeps the customer and the repeat order, while a marketplace brings reach but keeps the buyer's details. Many brands run both. We build the store with the grade and harvest on every product, payment by UPI and courier labels printed from the order, and tell the origin story plainly, because city buyers care where their pepper and cardamom come from.
Yes. Counter and godown screens can carry Kannada and English labels, party names can be stored in Kannada, and statements can print in either. We test that Kannada text prints cleanly on your own printer, because that is where it usually goes wrong.
