Do we have to stop using our accounting software?
No. The trade system handles lots, stock, parties and settlements, and your accountant can keep working in the software they know. Where it helps, we pass entries across automatically so nobody enters the same bill twice.
Can two people enter data at the same time?
Yes. The system keeps one shared record, so the office, the yard and the owner's phone all see the same balances. Each person gets only the screens their role needs, and every change is logged with who made it and when.
Will it work at a yard or on the road with poor signal?
Yes. We build it as an app staff install on their phones, made to cope with weak signal. The system we built for Nityanand Agro runs this way for staff working over patchy rural signal, and it also prints receipts on a Bluetooth printer from the phone.
Do you come to Bantwal, or is it all done online?
We come to Bantwal. Udupi is where our one studio is, and we travel to B.C. Road for the first meeting, for staff training and at key stages. In between we use calls, WhatsApp and shared screens.
What if the one person who knows our book leaves?
That risk is a strong reason to move the book into software. Once records live in a shared system with clear roles, a holiday, an illness or a handover in the family no longer stops the business. Backups that are tested mean the records also survive a broken computer.
